Posted by luckypropertywala_sxyoj4 on January 20, 2022

The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy launched the property registration work in 37 village secretariats in the state on Tuesday 18th January 2022. The work will commence in 37 village secretariats where the integrated land survey has already been completed on a pilot basis beforehand. This is the first time in 100 years that the state govt. is conducting an integrated land survey. The survey is being carried out using the latest technology which includes the use of drones to conduct physical mapping of the land & demarcation of boundaries.

The methods being used in the land survey have impressed the state govts. of neighbouring states and the Maharashtra govt. had sent its state survey department officials on a visit to take notes & consider the use of these modern techniques & latest technology to carry out land survey in Maharashtra too. The AP survey department officials informed that the integrated land survey across the whole state of Andhra Pradesh will be completed by June 2023 and that they have commissioned the use of 3 drones for every revenue division & the video footage of all surveyed land will be available by December of 2022.

Post completion of shooting video footage of all lands via drones, the digitisation process will commence and mapping will be done accordingly. The CM of AP informed the officials that all land related disputes, mainly those relating to ownership & boundaries have to be resolved peacefully before the govt. can issue permanent land ownership pattas to the rightful owners. The CM also instructed the state officials to provide clear titles to owners who have had their land gifted to them by their ancestors. The CM wants a quick resolution of issues pertaining to land at village secretariat level and has instructed govt. officials to hold consultations for all parties involved in the disputes and reach a peaceful solution through dialogue only.

CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said he wanted the officials carrying out the integrated land survey to ensure there is no scope for corruption while carrying out property registration in the village secretariats. The CM of AP wants to ensure that the records of the survey & registration are tamper-free and accurate, he also instructed all officials to decrease the time taken to reach a dispute resolution & reduce the time frame of registration of properties.

The CM of Andhra Pradesh’s final statements on this issue stated that the registration documents must contain clear data on the land extent, property boundaries, land nature & names of owners. Officials must ensure that the details used for property registration & survey must be accurate and it is their job to make sure the information provided by the owners is clear and correct.
